What We Do Store

The only data stored locally on your device is:

• Unit Preferences: Your choice between metric/imperial measurements (stored in your browser's localStorage)
• Temperature Preferences: Your choice between Celsius/Fahrenheit (stored in your browser's localStorage)

This preference data never leaves your device and is only used to remember your measurement choices when you return to the site.

Technical Details

Simple Recipes is a static website, meaning:

• No server-side processing of user data
• No databases storing personal information
• No user accounts or login systems
• All functionality works without JavaScript (progressive enhancement)

Hosting and Infrastructure

Simple Recipes is hosted on Netlify with Cloudflare for caching and DNS. While Cloudflare provides basic web analytics, we've configured it to:

• Not fingerprint users
• Not track users across websites
• Only collect aggregate, anonymous metrics
